Seyls started pretty simply. A few designers and advocates who cared deeply about fashion (and even more about women) noticed something missing. The industry was loud about trends... but too quiet when it came to truly celebrating the beauty and diversity of African wome
There was this gap. On one side, you had clothes that were stylish but not made with us in mind. On the other, you had cultural pieces that carried heritage but didn’t always fit the modern woman’s life. We thought—why can’t it be both?
That’s when our mission clicked into place: to design fashion that lets women step into a room feeling both powerful and deeply themselves. Clothes that don’t just look good, but honor where you come from. And now? Seyls isn’t just about fabric or cuts. It’s about community. It’s about women who want to look good without leaving pieces of themselves behind. Strong, confident women who know style doesn’t mean compromise—it means showing up as your truest self.
